Harold Scott (Spike) Jones

drums, percussion, backing vocals

Spike has been playing drums since age 11. He started in 5th grade in the school orchestra and joined many garage bands in high school. When Spike enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in 1986, he played bass drum in the boot camp orchestra. While serving his country, Spike put his sticks down, but picked them up again, on occasion, playing mostly open mic nights in local bars.

Spike then took an extended hiatus from the drums during the 1990s. But he hit the ground running in the early 2000s and hasn't looked back. Spike's been playing steadily in a number of bands in a number genres, including still playing with his longtime friends in Way Back Machine/Raised On Promises. Spike's just a working-class dog keeping his chops.
